Aurum Afghanistan Microfinance Institution, a newly registered institution, obtained its business license from Da Afghanistan Bank, the Central Bank of Afghanistan, in November 2024. In accordance with the Microfinance Regulation, all Microfinance Institutions are required to obtain membership with the Association. Aurum’s management has submitted its institutional profile for Afghanistan Microfinance Association (AMA) membership consideration, and following approval by the AMA Board, Aurum became an active member of the association as of March 18, 2025.
