As part of its ongoing lobbying and advocacy efforts, the Afghanistan Microfinance Association (AMA) organized a meeting between its member institutions and the Agriculture Development Fund (ADF) on August 31, 2025.
The objective of the meeting was to explore funding opportunities for microfinance institutions (MFIs). With a mandate to support the agriculture sector and its value chain across the country, ADF encouraged MFIs to actively engage in agricultural development particularly in regions where the sector needs greater support.
ADF invited MFIs to submit proposals aligned with this focus. These proposals will be reviewed and assessed, and funding decisions will be made accordingly.
This initiative presents a valuable opportunity for MFIs to expand their outreach and offer more diversified services to clients engaged in the agriculture sector.
